Aamir Khan, who is currently shooting for upcoming biopic Dangal in Ludhiana, recently got a special gift from the local wrestlers from the region, who were quite happy about having the Perfectionist train and shoot in their hometown.
A source attached to the film said, “Recently, local wrestlers presented a special goldengadaa (mace) to Aamir Khan while he was shooting in Ludhiana. The Dangal team has brought in local pehelwans and wrestlers for the film and after the day’s shoot, they got together and presented a gadaa to Aamir. The ‘gadaa’ is main weapon of Lord Hanuman, who is worshiped by all the akhada wrestlers and pehelwans in India for his strength. The team of local pehelwans thought that a gadaa would be a perfect memorabilia to present the actor with, as he also plays a wrestler in the film.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal is the story of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his two daughters in the sport.
